In the spring of 2023, a shooting in Laurel, Maryland, claimed the life of 20-year-old Kidane Edward Fletcher. On the afternoon of Sunday, April 9th, Prince George's County police were called to the 13300 block of Edinburgh Lane for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a grim scene with two male victims. One of the men was found outside and was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
