On a Monday afternoon, March 6, 2023, the life of 16-year-old Izaiah Carter, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. A student at Patterson High School, Carter was fatally shot in the head at the nearby Joseph E. Lee Park on East Pratt Street. He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
