On December 28, 2023, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Ladonna Renee Cummings, a 50-year-old Black woman from Flint, Michigan, was fatally shot. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Caniff Street in Flint. Police responded to calls about a shooting and found Cummings at the scene. She was immediately transported to Hurley Medical Center, where despite efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead.
