On the evening of May 2, 2024, in Centreville, Mississippi, Jerome G. Young, a 39-year-old Black male, was fatally shot while sitting in his white BMW. The incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. outside a Chevron convenience store located at 1290 Mississippi Highway 24 East. Young, whose address has also been listed in Biloxi, was ambushed in a sudden and violent attack that also endangered the public.
