In the spring of 2023, just weeks before he was set to graduate, the life of 18-year-old William Dewayne Ransburgh, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On the first of May, in Jackson, Mississippi, the Forest Hill High School senior was shot and killed. The promising young man, who was born on April 10, 2005, to William Silas and Ravon Ransburgh, passed away in the same city where he was born.
