In the winter of 2015, the life of 34-year-old Brandy Tarease Council, an African-American woman known affectionately as 'Cappuccino,' was tragically cut short in Savannah, Georgia. On the evening of December 2nd, she was on West 33rd Street when gunfire erupted. Council was struck and fatally wounded, while three men who were also shot during the incident sustained non-life-threatening injuries and survived.
A native of Miami, Florida, Council had made Savannah her home for eight years.
