In the early evening of July 2, 2024, the sound of gunfire shattered the summer calm in the 1000 block of Rugby Street in Norfolk, Virginia. When police officers arrived at the scene around 6:30 p.m., they discovered a chaotic and violent scene. Three men had been struck by bullets in what was quickly identified as a triple shooting. One of the victims, a 20-year-old male named William T. Robinson, was found with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
