In the late hours of a Tuesday night in downtown Atlanta, the life of Deonte Monaquel Rogers, a 26-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On September 23, 2014, in the area of Piedmont and Auburn avenues, Rogers was shot at least twice in what authorities believed was a targeted attack. Despite the proximity to a hospital, just a few blocks away, the wounds proved fatal.
