In the early morning hours of July 28, 2024, a burst of violence in a Springfield, Missouri, parking lot cut short the life of D’Vaunte Tavon Grant. The 31-year-old Black male from Texas was shot at approximately 3:22 a.m. in the parking lot of the Wicked Superstore on East Kearney Street.
