On April 15, 2024, 29-year-old Nelson Medina was found with life-threatening injuries inside a vehicle near Blue Valley Park in Kansas City, Missouri. Initially responding to a traffic accident at 23rd and Topping, officers discovered Medina suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
