In the evening hours of October 10, 2023, the life of 19-year-old Latrell Prentice, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in the Dutchtown neighborhood of St. Louis. Responding to the sound of gunfire just before 7 p.m., police officers made a grim discovery in an alley in the 3400 block of Osage Street. There, they found Prentice unresponsive, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
