In the late summer evening of August 28, 2023, the life of Kayla Simone Patterson, a 25-year-old female, was tragically cut short in Florissant, Missouri. Police were called to her residence in the 4600 block of Whisper Lake Drive in the Black Jack area shortly before 9 p.m. for a report of a person down. Upon their arrival at the Whisper Lake Apartments, they discovered Kayla inside her home, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
