On April 7, 2023, 51-year-old Charlie Taylor Jr. was found dead inside his residence in St. Louis' Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood. Police responded to a call around 6:30 p.m. in the 5700 block of St. Louis Avenue, where they discovered Taylor with a gunshot wound to the head; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
