In the late hours of a Saturday night in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, the life of 16-year-old Taearion Mungo was tragically cut short. On October 26, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., the young Black male was shot in the chest outside a building on Auburn Place within the Walt Whitman Houses public housing complex.
