On September 29, 2024, at approximately 1:50 p.m., 29-year-old Devonte Serrano was fatally shot near East 182nd Street and Mapes Avenue in the Belmont section of the Bronx. Responding officers found Serrano with a gunshot wound to the head; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
