On November 2, 2023, 28-year-old DeVaughn Deandre Bryant was fatally shot at the Trent Court Housing Complex in New Bern, North Carolina. Officers responded to a shots-fired call near the P Building on Fleet Street at approximately 3:48 p.m., discovering Bryant on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound.
