Shatara Aniyah Marell, a 30-year-old Black / African American female from Philadelphia, died late on December 16, 2023, after gunfire broke out in West Philadelphia. The shooting unfolded around 11:30 p.m. near the area of 62nd and Market Streets, a busy stretch where the night turned into a homicide scene after what police were investigating as a possible road rage encounter.
