Demetrius Lamont Dunston, a 37-year-old Black/African American male from Philadelphia, was fatally wounded in a shooting on Sunday morning, May 21, 2023, in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia. The gunfire broke out on the 6400 block of Farnsworth Street, where police said he was struck by bullets around 8:00 a.m. What began as another urgent shooting call soon turned into a homicide investigation, as officers arrived and learned that Dunston had already been rushed away from the scene
