In the late afternoon of Friday, March 17, 2023, tragedy struck on the 400 block of West Cambria Street in Philadelphia. Responding to a call at 4:43 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers discovered 30-year-old Tasheed Fields, a Black male, lying in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers quickly transported him to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
For three days, medical personnel fought to save his life, but his injuries proved too severe.
