In the winter of 2023, a young man's life was cut short in West Philadelphia following a dispute. Emilio Alvarado, a 19-year-old male, was found by police on the 500 block of North Simpson Street with gunshot wounds to his chest and right leg on Saturday, January 28th. Officers were initially called to the area for a report of a person with a gun.
