Forrest ‘Tre’ Johnson III, a 21-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in Jackson, Tennessee. The incident occurred in the 100 block of North Cumberland Street. Officers from the Jackson Police Department responded to reports of the shooting and upon arrival, discovered Johnson with a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
