On August 27, 2023, 27-year-old Carlos Olvera was fatally shot in a residence located in the 37500 block of Sabal Street in Palmdale, California. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported that deputies responded to a 911 hang-up and assault call at approximately 8:57 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Olvera inside the home with a gunshot wound to the head; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
