On the evening of July 28, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a tragic incident unfolded on westbound State Route 24 near Orinda, California. A vehicle traveling westbound, east of the St. Stephens Drive exit, was approached by another vehicle that maneuvered behind and then alongside it. Occupants of the victim's vehicle reported hearing several gunshots during this encounter.
