On June 17, 2023, at approximately 3:00 AM, 21-year-old Santos Pablo-Ramirez was fatally shot in the 2100 block of 39th Avenue in Oakland, California. Officers from the Oakland Police Department (OPD) responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area and discovered Pablo-Ramirez suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite prompt medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
