On April 21, 2023, at approximately 11:56 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigators responded to reports of a shooting in the 9400 block of Stephens Street, north of Whittier Boulevard, in Pico Rivera, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 32-year-old Los Angeles resident German Alejandro Gomez Medina with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Medina was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office later confirmed Medina's identity and determined the manner of death as homicide.
As of now, there have been no public reports of arrests or identification of suspects in connection with Medina's death.
