On August 18, 2024, at approximately 1:35 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 8300 block of La Prada Drive in Far East Dallas. Upon arrival, officers found 40-year-old Stevie Gray deceased at the scene, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. A second individual sustained a graze wound to the hand and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
