On the evening of May 14, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Amarillo Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunfire at the Axiom at Bell apartment complex, located at 1550 Bell Street in Amarillo, Texas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 46-year-old Gerald Abdu-Daoud Henry with apparent gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
