On March 2, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Edinburg police responded to reports of gunshots at the Texas Inn and Suites City Center, located at 202 N. 25th Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered 29-year-old Victor Gerardo Hernandez in the hotel parking lot, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
