On February 12, 2024, a tragic shooting occurred at Thermal Polymer Systems, an industrial facility in Angleton, Texas, resulting in the deaths of 37-year-old Devin Chase Murrell and his mother, 66-year-old Darla Murrell. The incident took place around 8:20 a.m. in the 900 block of South Velasco Street. Both victims were airlifted to a Houston hospital for urgent care but later succumbed to their injuries.
