On September 30, 2023, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 900 block of Medalist Drive. Upon arrival, officers encountered a woman who had been shot; she had managed to leave the scene to seek assistance. Inside the residence, they discovered two men with their hands bound. One of them, identified as 30-year-old Deleon Williams, had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man was unharmed.
