On July 4, 2023, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check at a residence in the 17100 block of Spindle Oaks Drive in Conroe, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of 76-year-old Maria Paragios and her husband, 74-year-old Ilias Karamanolis, both in a state of decomposition.
