On what should have been a festive Christmas Day, a Huntsville, Alabama community was shaken by the tragic death of 37-year-old Leah Jones. On the afternoon of December 25th, Huntsville Police responded to a call of a possible shooting in progress on Uvalde Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered Jones inside a residence with gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The Madison County Coroner later ruled her death a homicide.
