On the evening of December 8, 2024, in Atmore, Alabama, 25-year-old Juwan McNeal and his friend, 27-year-old Joe Jones Jr., were fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle in the yard of a residence on Ashley Street. The two men were ambushed by a person or persons who reportedly emerged from behind a house and opened fire on their vehicle.
