On November 27, 2024, at approximately 11:55 p.m., San Diego Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the south alley of the 3700 block of National Avenue in the Southcrest neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 46-year-old Manuel Alejandro Correa suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention from officers and bystanders, Correa was pronounced dead at the scene.
