In the early morning hours of December 5, 2024, a domestic dispute in Columbus, Georgia, ended in the tragic death of 42-year-old Sonny Chambers. Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 7300 block of Sorrel Court around 1:18 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Mr. Chambers, a Black male, suffering from gunshot wounds.
