On December 12, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., Israel Guzman, 38, was fatally shot inside The Levee, a bar located on the 4000 block of West Fullerton Avenue in Chicago's Hermosa neighborhood. According to police reports, Guzman was inside the establishment when an unidentified male assailant approached and opened fire, striking him multiple times.
