On December 3, 2024, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Fayetteville Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of Lieber Street. Upon arrival, they discovered multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. All victims were transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where 21-year-old Israel Chambliss was pronounced dead.
