On December 18, 2024, at approximately 11:48 p.m., 18-year-old Richmond resident John Kelson Jr. was dropped off at Chippenham Hospital by an unidentified driver who immediately left the scene. Medical personnel discovered that Kelson had suffered a gunshot wound and pronounced him dead shortly after his arrival.
