In the spring of 2006, the life of a promising young woman from Phoenix, Arizona was tragically cut short. Dominique Gabrielle Avan Pitts, an 18-year-old female, was killed by gun violence on April 28, 2006. At the time of her death, Dominique was a senior at Trevor G. Browne High School, poised on the brink of a bright future. She had earned a scholarship to attend Arizona State University, where she planned to pursue her interest in psychology.
