Jason Watson, a 37-year-old Black male, was shot in the early morning hours of Friday, August 27, 2021, on the 4400 block of West 28th Street in Little Rock. A ShotSpotter alert drew officers to the neighborhood around 2 a.m.; they found Watson gravely wounded, rushed him to a local hospital, and he was later pronounced dead. His body was taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsy.
