In the cold of a January night in 2022, the life of a 36-year-old Black man, Andre Brown, was cut short in Bridgeport, Connecticut. On the evening of January 2nd, police responded to a call of a person shot on Marcel Street. There, in the front yard of a residence, they found Andre Brown suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to St. Vincent's Medical Center, but his injuries proved fatal, and he died a short time later.
