In the pre-dawn hours of Sunday, September 5, 2021, the life of Zaire Luciano, a 30-year-old male from the Northford section of North Branford, was tragically cut short. Just before 5:30 a.m., the sound of gunfire echoed through Chamberlain Street in New Haven, prompting multiple 911 calls. When police arrived at the scene, between Chamberlain Place and Forbes Avenue, they found Luciano struck by bullets. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
