In the late summer of 2016, concern grew for John Ivers, a 50-year-old Caucasian male and respected attorney from Meriden, Connecticut. He had been reported missing since Sunday, August 7th, and by Tuesday night, his disappearance prompted authorities to issue a Silver Alert. The search for the married father of three intensified on Wednesday, August 10, when his vehicle was discovered abandoned near Black Pond, a quiet area in the neighboring town of Middlefield.
