In the early morning hours of July 19, 2016, the body of 41-year-old Donzie Taylor, a Black/African American male from Middletown, Connecticut, was discovered in Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain. A passerby found him unresponsive around 7:45 a.m. in a driveway situated between a baseball field and a skate park. Emergency services were called to the scene, but Taylor was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
