On a late summer evening, the life of Steven Vorise, a 34-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On September 6, 2015, in front of his own home on Greenfield Street in Hartford, Connecticut, he was shot multiple times. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. when the city's ShotSpotter technology registered the sound of three gunshots, prompting a 911 call.
