On a summer evening in 1975, the tranquility of Sandy Hook, a village in Newtown, Connecticut, was shattered by a violent confrontation that left two men dead. On July 31st, Salvatore Saffioti, a 34-year-old male, was fatally shot at the Sandy Hook Hotel.
