Jerome Pippins, a 42-year-old Black/African American man, was found dead on the morning of August 11, 2016, inside a residence in the Marcum Terrace area of Huntington, West Virginia. Pippins had previously lived in the Bronx, New York, and local news reports initially described him simply as a New York man whose body had been discovered at a Huntington home.
