On the evening of December 10, 2018, Gregory Phillips, a 25-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston. The incident occurred at approximately 9:59 p.m. outside of 155 Savannah Avenue, where Phillips was found inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
