On a summer evening in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the life of 19-year-old Sabrina DaSilva was tragically cut short. On July 3, 2016, she was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the Verdean Gardens apartment building on Bedford Street, where she lived. First responders rushed her to St. Luke's Hospital, but she was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival. At the time of her death, Sabrina was a student at Bristol Community College and the mother of a young daughter.
