Martesse Patterson, a 26-year-old Black / African American male, was a man known for a smile that could illuminate a room and the heart of a lion. A former offensive lineman for the Duke City Gladiators, wearing number 71 during the 2021 season, he was more than just a talented football player. To those who knew him, he was a beloved son, brother, family member, and a great friend.
